I have a report which groups shipments by material type.
It lists
[Shipment_Table] fields
shipment number
shipment date
Number of Trucks
[Materials Table] fields
Material_Type
No_of_Material
My problem is displayed below:
Shipment_NO Date Materials #Trucks
1 1/1/2013 6 baskets 1
2 1/7/2013 24 Baskets 1
Total 2
1 1/1/2013 12 wagons 1
2 1/7/2013 19 Wagons 1
Total 2
Grand Total 4
It counts each truck twice because each truck has two materials.
When I designed my tables I did not anticipate that this would be a problem, but it is an issue. I would like to somehow just stop counting the truck for the second material type, but it is unclear to me how I would go about doing that. I realize that I could rework my tables but I would rather not do that at this point. Thoughts?
