Must Enter Value Combo Box

I have created a form and on the form are combo boxes from tables. One of the fields is Operator. When I click on the combo box the list of Operators are shown and the one I select appears, but when I tab down to the next field I receive an error message that I must enter a value in the "Operator" field. I have been researching but I can't find as to what I did wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that the combo has, as its control source, the Operator field.
