I am trying to develop a database for keeping my microbiological results.
My question is how to provide the user with the ability to define all the fields that he wants to be on a report at runtime.

What I need (I think) is this:

By pressing a button a form appears with all the available fields listed
The users checks all the fields he wants to be listed in the report
The report is filtered and there no gaps between the fields

Thanks in advance

Honestly....I'm not really sure you can do that with Access, and if you can, I'm sure you would have to use an incredible amount of code.

I've never seen anything like that.....

how to format non visible fields

So far I have managed the report to show only the fields that have been selected by the user.

My problem now is the gaps between the fields
ie the report shows fields 1 , 2 , 6, 12
there is a gap between them

Anyone knows how to format the report to show only the visible fields one next to other without gaps ?

Any help ?
Thanks in advance
