Negative number when using DateDiff

I am using the DateDiff command to calculate the difference in two dates, but I am receiving a negative number when I need a positive number. Can anyone please guide me in the right way? Thanks.

Have you got the two dates the right way round? (Date that needs to be subtracted goes first).

If you are only entering time values without the date and the ending value spans past midnight you will recieve a neagtive result.
