Hi,

I'm taking a college class in MS Access 2010. Our class projects are due next Wednesday (5 days from now), so I'm working on my project. This is the only thing I've done in the class that is not explicitly planned in the textbook, and I'm suddenly discovering that lots of things don't work the way I expected they would. As usual, MS Help is all-but useless. The class ends in about 10 days, so that is probably the last you will hear from me.

I have an extensive background in computer technology, very broad, moderately deep. Most relevant to the task at hand, I've programmed in Java, C++, C, Assembly, Pascal, COBOL and a half-dozen other languages, and I've even written some database structures in C, but my experience with database programming and design is scanty and brief. I haven't used MS Access much. I have slightly more experience in Borland Paradox, but that was 20-something years ago, and I used it only to create mailing labels for my club. So, Access 2010 represents quite a change for me.
