Hi,

This is probably a stupid question and I expect the answer is no but here goes.

I have a continuous subform showing records sorted to show the latest first.

I would like the empty new record to be sitting at the top of the list rather than the bottom, so my users don't need to scroll down to enter a new record.

Is this possible, and if so what is the setting I need to use.

thanks

Sue

Your question is a frequent one. If the record is not Dirty yet then you can set the focus to the SubForm (a two step process) and issue DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdRecordsGoToLast to scroll down to the new record for the user.

Hi RurualGuy,

Quick questions...

(1) Where do you input the DoCmd.RunCommandacCmdRecordsGoTOLast
(2) Is that one or two commands?

I've been searching for this information for awhile. Thank you for putting it togeter so succintly!

Hi Surfette,
Boy, I must have been half asleep when I read your post. My answer is for scrolling down to the bottom to the new record, which is not what you asked of course. I use AutoNumbers as keys and when I put an ORDER BY Key DESC, the new record is on top in the continuous form. Is that method not working for you? What field dictates the "latest" in your table?
