New to Access (1 Viewer)

Hello all, I’m very new to Access and have developed a basic database for an art gallery I work for. I do know the basics for creating forms and queries etc. But I have a few issues that I really can’t get my head around, and would really appreciate any help I could get.

I aiming to develop my skills a lot further by developing programs and learning more about VBA, there’s two main issues I’m running into.

1. How can I create an alert that triggers when a member of staff is late for work more than three times in a month.
2. How can I hide fields in a form, but then show them based on a selection made in a drop down box.
