Newbie here with questions

Hey Folks,

I just found this forum and because I'm trying to work on a database for my work and I'm only somewhat familiar with Access. The purpose of this database is to track "index numbers" and who they are assigned to within my organization. These numbers are good for one year. At the end of the year I need to have the database take the numbers that are suspended and delete the names of the individuals but not the numbers themselves. I've tired different queries with not much success. Can anyone help me please.

Instead of Delete try Update

i.e. Update to "" (zero length string) where Field is Not Null
