Hi all,
I'm just after a little general advice if anyone is able to help me please?
I'm due to supply a database for the first time to a client. My plan was to 'rent' a dedicated server and put the database on there. My client would then be given the logon details for the server, and from the servers desktop (for the want of better terminology) would be able to access the db. I could do the same from my laptop to performance maintanance etc.
A collegue has mentioned about ODBC so that each user at the clients end would have a copy of the front end of the db (forms etc) but would not see the back end (tables).
I understand this in principle, but I'm really struggling to find information about how to do it, how it works, how I'd set it up (on each users system??) - I'm at the point of topping myself with this, so any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
