Our company recently changed from Office 2003 to 2007. I have built several databases that were working fine previously, now several users are getting clipboard error messages when they attempt to paste new data from Excel into the Access table. "The data on the Clipboard is damaged, so Database can't paste it". The issue seems to happen randomly, with some users experiencing the problem more than others. Additionally, even when they don't receive the error, some users are finding that data that appears to have been entered successfully is later missing.

The databases have not been converted to 2007 yet, would that help? Is it an Office installation issue?

I may be wrong, but I don't believe you can do that paste thing in Access 2007.

Is there a reason you are not using the TransferSpreadsheet method to import the excel data into your access database? Users should not have direct access to the tables of your database.

Thanks - This is much clearer than the other articles I've read. I appreciate your help. Now I just have to convince the IT group to help!
