I have developed an access database in Office 2016 and distributed it, partially successfully with 2016 runtimes (issue are security related only). My company is moving to Office 365 over the next few months or maybe longer (16000 employees take a long time to move). I want to move to 365 now (I will get an E3 license and other users an E1 license) so they will need the Access 365 runtimes to run the converted database.
My question is whether anyone has encountered issue with Access 365 runtimes installed on machines still running Office 2016 or lower? I cannot find any issues but if there is anyone who has tried it out and can confirm it should be OK, that would be very helpful. All machines are 64 bit.
