offline & iframes

Hi,

hoping someone can help me here. I have a page that requires an iframe. When the site is viewed online, a click of a button correctly displays a page in the iframe. When the site is viewed offline, the same button click opens the page in a new tab instead of the iframe!!

can this be prevented?

is there an alternative to iframes without too much hassle?

I appreciate this is an old post but in case someone else has the same query, this is one of the reasons why iframes are not recommended, should it open in a new tab, new window or the existing frame?

Either online or offline, if you press print, do you get the whole page or just 1 frame etc?

If I were you, I'd try to find a way to avoid iframes. Perhaps use javascript to keep a div at the top of the visible page, even if you scroll down but this isnt ideal because users can turn off js.
