I'm building an Access 2003 database for flyfishing. In my form I have two combo boxes that are controlled by the tables "tblflytype" and "tblFlies". In here I have flies listed like this:
FlyID Flytype
1 Dry Fly
2 Wet Fly
3 Nymph
4 Streamer
then in another table I have "Flies"as such:
FlyID Flies
1 Elk Hair Caddis, Tan
1 Elk Hair Caddis, Olive
1 Adams
4 Black Ghost
4 Grey Ghost
4 Little Brook Trout
These two tables are related one to many
What I want to do is when I choose the combo box on my form that shows the flytype, let's say Streamer, I want the next combo that shows the flies to only show Streamers, etc. Additionally, in the "tblFlytype" table there are + marks to the left of each entry. If I click on one of them, again Streamers, it only shows the Streamers I have listed. So I think I'm going in the right direction, but am not sure how to put it all together. Is this possible? Any suggestions?
