Hi there
i realize that this is an access forum, but was wondering whether anybody knew if it is possible to interrogate data in a OneNote file?

If so, are you able to share an example.

We are thinking of recording student data (behaviour, Movements, Contracts etc) in a OneNote file, but I foresee that somebody is going to ask me for a report of sorts. Its important that I make the right decision BEFORE we implement this plan.

No data validation (hence you're going to have inconsistent data), free format, difficult to extract anything ... forget OneNote.

InfoPath.

And another thought: if you speak of OneNote, then Web access is probably not an issue. If data is to wind up in Access anyway, why not skip all the intermediaries and do the forms in Access in the first place?

thanks SpikePl - that confirms EXACTLY what i thought. Just following order to do more investigation.
