Only Allow Updates

Hi All,

I have a table with one field called 'Comments' as a Memo.

This area records specific details to a person, and I have had the request if this area could only be changed to allow additions to the comments are, however, does not allow the deletion of the existing data.

Is this possible?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Rat,

You could display the memo on the form, but have it locked,
so they can not update it.

You can provide another memo field where they can type in
updates. In the AfterInsert (or BeforeInsert) event you
can do:

Me.RealCombo = Me.RealCombo & vbCrLf & Me.OtherCombo
