Greetings,

I am creating a help document for a database, and due to the size (heavy graphics, about 15MB), I would like to create it in a seperate, empty database. My idea is to have a button on the current db, which when clicked, opens the help db (opening on a "main" help form...no tables). How do I code VBA to open the help db? Is there a more effecient way? Any help is appreciated...Thanks in advance.

I am currently trying to tie a custom help file into my database. I can't offer you the final solution because it's not working perfectly for me yet, but I'm attempting to use "HTML Help Workshop" from microsoft. It is installed with the developer edition but even if you don't have it, you can download from Microsoft. This program allows you to create HTML pages, then compile them to be viewed through a standard help window complete with Table of Contents, Index, search, etc. That part works great and fairly simple.

Then you're supposed to be able to call html pages as topics from your forms and reports, and even get context sensitive help. That part I'm still fighting with. And I'll be glad to accept help from anybody who's been through this before...

Matt
