Open Dialog Box And Search

hi,
i know hw to open an open Dialog box using and API Function. I was wondering if search could be added to this. i mean i specify a file name with its extension and search it in C or D Drive using the opendialog box. Same as we do through Find File and Folder in Start Menu - File.
Is it possible in Access.
