This is a minor nuisance, but can it be fixed? Whenever I open a relatively long form (ie long enough that it extends beyond the viewing limit of the screen), the form always opens at the bottom part. This happens wether the form is opened from a macro and maximized or from the db window. I've tried a couple of things, but this one long form always opens at the bottom - the cursor is at the bottom of the form. I've looked under options, and form properties, but I don't see anything obvious.

I'm using A2003.

Have you tried setting your tab order so that the first control on top is the first in the tab order?

Doing what boblarson has suggested is the simplest and most effective solution. But if you really want to force movement of curson at a particular control than you can put a simple one line code on Open event of the form.

Me.YourControlName.SetFocus

or

DoCmd.GoToControl ("YouControlName")

Good luck!

Yes. That was the first thing I tried. There is a subform at the bottom of the form that seems to have taken control - at least it seems to have the focus.
