afternoon all,
I have a slight problem, not serious but just irritating - i have recently moved to a different pc at work (a Pentium4 instead of a Pentium2
). since i moved access (97) has been having problems. I have a variety of Dbs and usually access them by duble clicking on their icon in one of my folders on the network drive, however, since i moved PCs these icons do not work - access comes up with an error message saying
"a system error occured, or there is not enough memnory to start access. please close other programs and start again".
I have tried closing all other programs but it makes no difference. the IT support desk of my company tried but failed to resolve the problem.
I can open the databases by first opening access and then selecting the appropriate db from the list, however i find this a hassle! does anyone know how to sort this out?
thanks,
