Opening report based upon criteria

Hi all,

I'd like to open a report based upon a selected criteria. The report is based on a query, and within that query are records that fall into 3 different categories. I'd like to set it up so that when someone opens the report they can open it showing only the category they're interested in, but I'm not sure the best way to go about this...
