OpenReportButton displays in 97 but not in 2000

This is curious George.

After developing a database in 97 that includes an Options form that displays a list of OpenReport buttons, I then trained users on 97 and users on 2000. Returning from the trainings, I created another button for the list of OpenReports on the Options form to open a report that had been created before the trainings.

Now, when opening the database in 2000 the newly created OpenReport button doesn't display. When opened in 97 it does display. In both, the report can be pulled up off the Database Display icon on the menu bar.

Is 2000 pulling up a previous compiling?

Can't explain the how or why, yet copying the database and opening the copy in 2000 allowed for the Preview Report CommandButton to become visible. Then, opening the original version in 2000 made available the Preview Report CommandButton that had not been displayed in 2000 previously.
