oracle sql and backing up a database

Hi,

I want to write an sql statement in oracle sql plus which will backup a database (ie temp backup whilst I work on it). I've been told I can use create table statement. Can anyone help.

This is an Access forum so I'll give you an Access solution since I don't have any Oracle SQL manuals handy.

Create a new Access db and import the Oracle tables. You can make a test copy of your Access fe and link it to the Access be rather than the Oracle tables.
