Hi, I need a page sum and have searched and worked through Q132017. It all works fine and I have the page total in the page footer of my report. The only problem is I need it in the page header!
I've tried loads of things including-
-putting the code in the page header_Print event (only took the first line amount)
- Creating another unbound field and adding Me.PageSumHead = Me.PageSumFoot (Me.PageSumHead stays blank- i'm assuming thats because the page header has already been formatted?)

Does anyone know how I can get the page sum total in the header?

Thanks, Tom.

Why not simply use a text box with the data Access defaults print reports with?

="Page " & [Page] & " of " & [Pages]

Should give you Page 1 of 10, for example. I can't see why it would matter if it were in the Page Header or the Page Footer.

Which version of Access? it can't be done in earlier versions since the Header is formatted before the footer

Sorry I didn't make that clear enough. It's not a [Page] Of [Pages] it's the sum total of a currency field that I need totalling for each page of the report. Our standard payment vouchers, which I have to copy exactly, have the total at the top and I can only get it to appear in the footer.

I'm using A2k...

It's definitely formatting the header first because the field [Total In Header] = [Total in Footer] for the previous page.

I tried calling the PageHeader_Print event in the PageFooter_Print and that assigned a value but it was the wrong amount. I've only just found out that putting things in the print event can make them appear wrong on the report preview though, so i'm going to investigate that side of things...

Thanks for your help,

Tom

Thanks Pat, unfortunately Local Government is very stuffy about "official" documents but i'll do my best to make them see sense. If not i'll be able to come up with a DAO pre-processing workaround. Thanks for the idea!
