Parater Value Issue

Why the following Query is Not Working ???.When I runs the query ???.it tells about Input Parameter !!! .

[FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=3]SELECT *[/SIZE][/FONT]
[SIZE=3][FONT=Comic Sans MS]FROM identityTab[/FONT][/SIZE]
[SIZE=3][FONT=Comic Sans MS]WHERE identityTab.IdentityNo=JPPPS;[/FONT][/SIZE]

I've highlighted the amended bits:

[COLOR=Red]S[/COLOR]ELECT *
FROM identityTab
WHERE identityTab.IdentityNo=[COLOR=Red]'[/COLOR]JPPPS[COLOR=Red]'[/COLOR];

Also, are you sure IdentityNo is text?
