Whilst I know that pivot tables are used for calulating values of data etc, I would really like to be able to use a pivot table (because of its' layout and ability to refresh the data held) without any calculations and just show the data supplied from a table/query (which is text not numeric) in each field. I know that you can do this with a crosstab query but I want to be able to manipulate the orientation of the column headings which you can do in Excel but not in Access. I wonder if any of you know how to turn off any calculations or know of a suitable add-in that is available to create a like table. Failing that is it possible to export a crosstab query into a pre-formatted worksheet in Excel (the layout would never change just the data, column headings and row headings)
