printing reports

I have a report with many (about 8) subreports. Each subreport is a total field so it only displays one value. When I preview the report all the values show up on the print preview but when I print the report, all the values in the subreports are blank.
But... If i have a label in the subreport, that shows up just fine.

Any ideas....
