Just upgraded and I get this error message whenever I open a form and quite a bit of my code does not seem to work.

Your Microsoft Access Database or Project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'MSOWC.DLL' version 1.0.

Does any body have any clues as to how I can solve this??

Many thanks in advance - Rob

Search this forum for what must be a thousand references to "references" to find out what this problem is all about.

Your problem can perhaps be fixed by opening a module code page, then following menu-bar item Tools >> References to the dialog box and find the missing reference. (It will include the word MISSING in uppercase along with the module name it wants.) Uncheck it. Check it again. See if that fixes it. If not, try to browse for the file. (Do a Start >> Find >> Files and search for that file's name, then use the Browse button on the dialog box to point to that file.) If you cannot find the file as suggested, then you are missing a file and need to locate it or obtain it. It should be part of the MS Office kit, though I'm not familiar with that particular file.

Thank you very much Doc Man. Your suggestion seems to have worked.

I have never had need to look into references before - I guess I shouldn't have worried.

Thanks again

Rob
