Hi,

I have an automated emailing function in a db. On an XP machine with outlook XP or Outlook 2003, the message;

"Program is sending email on your behalf..."

appears, making the emailing function totally useless of course.

I noticed there was a similar thread on this topic, but I did not quite understand it.

Is there really no way to turn of this message? I´m not concerned about email security on this one.

What is the redemption.dll? I don´t have it, can I get it somewhere.

Thanks.

This comes from Outlook, not Access, so you have to approach it from that side of things. I don't have an answer, but thought I would let you know that. It's outlooks way of stopping things like "I Love You" virus/trojan of sending Email automatted.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I see the reasons for it. However, it takes away virtually all VBA-advantages. If you need to automate outlook, you will probably need to send email automatically, and this makes it impossible. Brilliant!

Anyone else know what to do?

Google for Redemption. You can also Google for ClickYes.

Thank you both.

So the redemption is a library not included with office? that explains why I couldn´t find the reference to it.

I think I´ll try the redemption. The clickyes solution is a bit too radical for me... :p

But I still cannot believe that microsoft has done this without any method to work around it.

Actually here our Email admins bypass that on an individule basis as required.
I think this gives some information on this process.

Thank your all.

I´ll certainly look into the admin options.

For now, I downloaded the redemtion.dll and it works, so I´m happy :)
