I'm having an odd problem that just surfaced recently. I have a shared database where I create an MDE file for the front end, and have the back-end on a server. Suddenly last week, with the latest update to the MDE file, it will not run on anyone's computer. I get a "Compile error: can't find project or library" message. Then, it shows code where "MsgBox Error$" and other items are highlighted (one of the items is "Date"). I have ensured that all users have the same references selected as before and as on my computer, but nothing works. In addition, only the MDE file fails: when I install the source MDB file, it works fine. Can anyone help with this? It hasme completely perplexed, and the MS website helps none at all. Many thanks.

I have just found a wizard on the internet called a references wizard. It checks if references are broken for the application you are in. I don't think I can attach it here but I found it at the following link: http://www.mvps.org/access/bugs/bugs0001.htm.

This is a good Access site well worth checking out.
