pronlems outputting a report to word

I am wanting to output a report to word. I know how to do this, by using the DoCmd.OutputTo function, but the problem is this outputs a report which contains all records, when i only want to output one specific record, is there a where clause, or any similar way of specifying which record to output?

Yes, I think there is a may not to export all your records with the report.
Your report has to be based on one query
Create first the query that filters the records you want to see printed (select field1, field2 from where etc.....)
then after, build your report with, as basis, this query.

Access can help you and assist you when you build it, by choosing table or queries.
