pulling data from the previous record

Hey guys its been some time since I have made any updates to my DB but the time has come to create Ver 2.1. Anyway I have a form with a list of shipments. I would like to calculate the miles between zip codes on seperate records. What i need to do this is to select the zip code from the previous record and simply copy that data to the next line. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
