Query fails to append a field

I have an append query that simply appends to a table.
When I run the query manually all fields in the query are appended.
However when I run it thru a macro,it fails to append 1 field.

The failed field is derived from an IIF statement in the query.

However it doesnt make sense that it works manually (so I cant find the error by testing),but fails in auto mode

Any suggestions on what is going on or a solution pls

(I have plenty of other queries that derive fields from IIF statements and they work fine.)
I have remade the table and query in case of a corruption but the problem still exists

Uh ... your Macro is running the wrong query ... ? Perhaps an earlier version of the query you are running manually?

Zip and post the db if that is not it.

U r so right !!!!!!

It was picking up an earlier version of the query.

I feel stupid,but u get to the point where u cant see the woods coz of the trees,and u simply lose the plot

Friend, I feel your pain. I have done similar things before. Shoot, we all have in one way or another if you've been programming long enough ...
