Hello,
I'm having a slightly wierd problem. I have a form that is based on a parameter query. The month field of the query has a parameter which is:
Like IIF(IsNull(Me.combomonth.value),"*",Me.combomonth.value)
combomonth refers to a combo box containing all the months. The query is displayed in the subform of the form expenses and the combo box "combomonth" is on the main form.
when i open the form expenses directly by clicking on it, the query correctly assumes the "*" value and all the records are displayed. However when i try to open the form expenses from my switchboard, it throws up a parameter box askin for the value of "Me.combomonth.value". this happens only when i try to open it from the switchboard.
I had previously modified the switchboard command whereby the "Open Form in Edit Mode" option opens the concerned form as a subform rather than in a new window. ( i placed a subform control on the mainform and set its sourceobject property to the concerned form to be opened.) does this have anything to do with it? I definitely don't want the query to throw up parameter boxes.
anyone who can help me out here... thanks in advance!
