Quicken sorting

I have a report that is showing all my motels. It list the motels name first then the dates. I want it to show the dates in order, regardless of what the name is. Under customize > Sort By account/date. I have tried all the options. What am I missing?

In case it can be of help to someone else, I have found the problem with the sorting by, in my quicken report. There are two generic reports. The first is “itemized payee”. If the report is made from this generic, no matter what you pick for sort by, it will list the motel first then the date. To get all the expenses listed by date I had to make a new report using the generic report “Itemize categories”.
