Hi,
New to forum, have checked FAQ and recent posts.
For some reason my Access help files and my access book don't go into detail.

Looking to create simple radio/choice button for input

1. computer
2. phone
3. software

I have set up an indexed table with these choices called troubletype

How do I set up the form? When I select radio button I don't see in properites the place where I link them to my choices.

And I want to make sure only 1 of the buttons can be set to ON at a time.

Thanks in advance

what you could do instead is a combo box that would be tied to the trouble type. that way only one could be selected at a time and you wouldnt need 3 different fields tied to the radio buttons

Use an Option Group when you design your form.

:)LOL. Thanks rabble. I found out what my problem was. Wizard button was not active on tool bar when I selected option group. Thanks for timely input.

BTW, Ray, you don't "need 3 different fields tied to the radio buttons!" In working with an Option Group, as Allan suggested, the Option Group's frame is tied to a single field in the table, the contents of which is determined by which button/checkbox is selected. The Option Group also assures that only one button can be selected, without all the overhead that a combobox entails.

That's why we're all here, newbies and more advanced practitioners alike! If we didn't learn things here it wouldn't be any fun at all!
