Read Only Database

Hi,
I have a database that I have put on the network where I will be having over 50 people updating data to. And yes I overlooked the fact that if one user has it open, it will show up as read only for another and they are not able to save their data. Is there any way around this?

The database NEEDS to be split into a frontend and backend (backend is on the network and has only tables, frontend has everything else) and a COPY of the frontend needs to be on EACH user's computer.

The users must have full rights to the directory where the database is located or else if will be read only if they are not able to create or edit the record locking .ldb file.
