I'm a newbie at this, so please forgive me in advance. I've been looking through your (and others') knowledgebases, and have found no answer to my question, and I'm not sure that this is the correct forum to post this, so here goes:

I simply want to know how to open and read an MDB file from Visual C++ 2010 Express.

Specifically, none of the calls that Microsoft suggests work, which means I'm probably not importing the correct DLL or namespace.

Thoughts? Tiny sample would be nice.

Thanks,

Check out the System.Data.OleDb namespace in the .NET framework. Use that set of objects to access data in Microsoft Jet tables. You can get Provider information at http://www.connectionstrings.com. Note that Access 2007 uses the new .accdb extension and so connection strings for .mdb files and .accdb files might be diffferent, apart--obviously--from the filename of the DataSource.
Best of luck,
Mark

That's what I needed...thanks!!
