Is there anyway to "record" a macro in Access.
I recently moved from Lotus approach ,which has this facility to access, and now find I need to write code to get access to do what is required.
(Yep yr right I am not good at writing code)

In response to your question, in a word, no.

Actually, if you're going to use macros (I don't anymore as VB is easier to me now and more powerful), I would suggest going to the database window and creating a NEW macro and then just explore. Explore under ACTION what the available procedures are in the dropdown list and then select them one-at-a-time and then see what properties come up down below.

One useful one to be aware of is RunCommand, if you select it you get one line down below that says COMMAND. Use the drop down to explore what options you have (basically all of the menu commands are located there).

And then the next thing, try to get familiar with VB code as the macros are supposedly going away in future versions of Access.

Good Luck and remember that you can post questions here if you get stuck on a particular problem. :-)
