RecordSheet not Updatable

I have created a subform based on a query that details customer payments, so i have Invoice No-Date-Amount and then if it is Due and then if they have paid. The last two being Yes/No boxes. However on my account page where the subform is i can't tick whether or not they have paid because it says the recordsheet is not updatable. How can i rectify this? Thanks in advance for any tips.

The mosy common reason for this is that you have based your query on one or more tables that do not have primary keys. Access will not update the tables if it cannot uniquely
identify the appropiate record
