Solved relink not working (1 Viewer)

Hi All

i have a split database which we have just moved to a new shared location

but the split hasnt seem to have worked i use the split database function in access and what is attached is how it is linked but it should be like the one marked correct

any ideas on how to get rid of the drive letter from the Path ?

This looks like the diffrence between networkpath and local drive.

cheers i just googled that and mapped teh shared drive again with no drive letter and i have now got this

I thought you were asking 'where do I go from here?' :)

FWIW if you did use a drive letter, then you could just remap the drive letter to the new location.?
If standard mapping like when you logon, then it works great.

I once worked at a place where the paths were hardcoded (long long time ago, around Y2K time) and they wanted us to change let's say E to F, so we could use test data. Lot of changes involved.
I asked why we were doing that with the potential of making mistakes and the manager was slowly trying to explain to me that we needed to use test data for the Y2K changes and not the live data.
I asked why can't we just map E to the test data, and he said 'I did not know you could do that'. Saved a lot of time, though my colleagues were not impressed as I had cut down the potential work period. :)
