I need to creat an Access report with about 15 pages.......

Is this possible in the access design area, I can only seem to see or get one page at a time........

I have the Front Cover

So my questions are

1. how do i create it so I can have multiple pages
2. On the contents page I would like to place a Hyperlink that goes to the relevant section of the report so for example

Section 1 - Cleint Information
Section 2 - Objective

Could someone give me some pointer and ides on how this can be ahcieved or a good link showing me some examples...

Many thanks

Reports viewed in Access are basically print-previews.

You may need to export to something like a pdf file to have working hyperlinks.

Hi

I will also open a new post on this.... after some investigation the way forward is to ahve each part of the report set as a sperate report, then add into the main as sub forms with page breaks... This appears to work ok, however its the hyperlinks that is the problem....

For example on contents page i will have

Section 1 - Client Concatct Details

I want a link that when clicked it will go through to the correct page of the report, obvioulsy the link is set to a seperate report, so when it is combined, it does not recognise it as a report anymore but a page perhaps....

I have also exported a simple 2 page of it and the links do not go to PDF either...

So do you know a way round this.... Word as bookmark which is good but access doesnt...

Any ideas

Thanks

I don't think you will be able to do it in a report preview, I think you will need to export to another format, such as a pdf.

However, my knowledge pretty much stops @ Access 2003, so later versions may have something to do what you nee dwhich I am unaware of.

Thanks it didn't occur to me that I can just drag sub reports into a main one. This should of been a no brainer but I hadn't had a problem like this to solve until recently and your comments made a light bulb go off in my head.

Go figure. Got to remember OOP. Sometimes I try to do things the old fashion way and forget about objects in general.

Hope you get your hyperlink question solved.

Hi Prley

Yes seems simple once you have worked it out.....

Have not got the hyperlink problem sorted as yet, but still hoping for a result and if I do I will post it on here...

Thanks
