hi everyone,

i have made a report of all the services we offer. I would like to know the code to put into a text box at the bottom of the report to tell me the count for each service and the total that the service has made, for example

Finishing Touches = 3 (bought) Total from service = £100
Decoration = 10 Total from service = £250

in other words i want to Count all the Service ID's that = 12 or 13 or 14 etc

i have attached an image of the report with some sample data

thanks, in advance,

james

Hello

One way would be to do this using a "Totals" query and base your report on this query.

Place your key field and the field you want counted in a query. Then on the tool bar press the "Summation" symbol and in the group by field for the key field, select count. Then run the query. This should count each instance of what is in the field or column to the left of your key field.

PERFECT! the report that these figures were based was linked to a query where the dates on a form determined the results. I had to also add a date column with the same date function like Between(start) and (end)... for it to work in the correct context.

thanks for your help...
