report lines

Okay, I tried but could not get this working.


I'm trying to get a report that will look like the example below, where the report will have numbers that are assigned to the beginning of each line. Anyone with any ideas, please help.

REPORTING MY ACTIVITIES

1 Hey there, today is a great day. I love to
2 see you but I had to work. Maybe, if you have
3 some time, we can go catch lunch today. If not

Put a Text Box control in your report and set the control source to =1. Then set the RunningSum property of the Text Box to Over All. When you run the report, the control will keep adding 1 to itself, thereby numbering your records as you go. You can also do this across groups, using the Over Group option, to number your groups, then the items within the group.

Welp.. i tried that but it's not working..
what I have is just one text box.. or "memo" box.. when i type a paragraph in it.. I would like it to number each sentence..

any help.. thanx...
