Report not sorting? (1 Viewer)

I have a report which displays call frequency. The query it is based on does a count on a field in the table. When I set the query to sort on the relevant field it works fine but in the report... nada. I have set the OrderByOn property in the report to Yes and the OrderBy property to CountOfCall Agent DESC . (CountOfCall Agent) being the field in question.

Where am I going wrong?

Funny thing about Access Reports (Been this way since Version 2.0) They have their own Sorting And Grouping. You can have the Query sort any way you like but the report just wont care.

Check out the report in Design mode and choose View, Sorting And Grouping. Set your sort order here.

This works perfectly now. Just one more question: If you have to do this by the Sorting and Grouping menu (which works), why bother including the OrderBy stuff (which doesn't work) in the properties toolbox?
