Report opening problem

I have a new database that opens with the application window hidden. It starts by opening to a login page, once logged on it goes to a form with buttons on it to open otgher forms for database entry and some buttons for opening reports for the database. My problem is now once I click the button for the form it locks up the database. I have the forms set to pop up and Modal if that makes a difference. Does anyone have any clues to what would cause this? (Access 2007)

It is very possible that you would think that the database is locked up if you have both Popup and Modal set to true.

Try placing a button on your form to close it after it is opened and see if you can continue if you have the ability to close your form.

You can also try removing the setting for the popup and modal and see if that gives you the condition you want.
