aarg, I can't seem to put this into the right words. I want to run an inventory report that will look at a table that has the product received, the volume recieved, the invoice # that the volume was billed on, and the date that we received the volume. Here is the trick and what I am having a problem with... in order to get to this report you use a form and on the form you enter the products you want to see and the wearhouse's INVENTORY TOTALS. You then click on a button and it will bring up a report that will have added all the volume received together UNTIL it reaches the Wearhouse's total. In a perfect world these two numbers should match but often do not, which means you will have a remainder volume somewhere. My problem is twofold in that
1. I can't get the report to pull ONLY the volumes (and other information) relivent to the warehouse total (I neglicted to metion that they are being pulled in date order and being applied to the inventory in date order so if the first five volume's total match the warehouse's total then it should only pull those five. If the first six match then only the six and so on)
2. I need the report to take the remainder volume and place it in a dummy record (not kept in a table)Sort of a dump field.
There it is in a nutshell. Please if I did not make my slef clear let me know and I will try to clarify more. If you can please give me "two year old" instructions. I can be a little dense.
Thanks for your help in advance
