I am building a report from a crosstab query. The operator will input the begin date and end date for the report into text box on a form. A control is set on the form to click for preview report.
The begin date and end dates are used as criteria for the crosstab query that the report is written on. This works great now that I have found the back door to the report wizard.
If I create the query and establish the criteria and the parameters then the reports wizard will not show any of the fields from the query. I must create the query without setting the criteria or the parameters then go to reports and create the report . Then I must return to the query and set the parameters and criteria.
I have done this in both Access 2k and xp. The only difference is that in 2k the parameters syntax is without brackets and the xp parameters require brackets.
Is this standard or have I found the hard way to create this report? Any comments are welcome
