Reporting help please

Hey, my question is quiet simple, in my report i have purchase order numbers which have notes against them telling the staus of the order. i may get 10 lines on my report for a number such as 011111 and the notes might say "order cancelled" I just want these notes to appear once againt that order number and not the ammount of times the order number is displayed, the reson the order number is iplayed so many times is because there is a stock code number next to it and for each order number there will be a different stock code next to it so its not just simply grouping please help

Let me clarify - the stock code and order number are one field or two? If they are one field can you use a right or left function in the query and get the order number by itself and then group?
