I have built several reports in a db and mysteriously they dont fit on one page anymore. It is also happening on another machine so its not just the settings on mine. i have checked the default settings in tools/options and nothing seems to have changed.

Can anyone shed any light on this as i now means I have to go and change all the reports again.

Any suggestions are welcome/

Which way don't they fit? Left to Right or Top to Bottom. If it's left and right, the first thing I would check for is a line bleeding over into a second page. The easiest way to make sure it can fit the page you need is to open the report in Design View. Then drag the right hand edge to the left as far as you can. Look up at the ruler at the top of the page and see where the right edge stops. If that value, usually 6 1/2 ", plus the values of the left and right margin, usually 1" each, are greater than the page you are trying to print to, then something is spilling over into a second page. If that isn't the problem, then a little more info would probably help.

As you are based in the UK, it's probable that your default page setting is A4. If this has been changed in your printer settings to Letter, the page length will be slightly shorter and the page width slightly wider than expected. Check your printer settings.

If your Printer settings are OK , look in the report properties for the overall width of the report. This dimension, plus the margins specified in your settings must not exceed 210mm for A4.

If you are returning variable numbers of data rows in the detail section of your report, this might account for the over-run if in the vertical plane.

Make sure you haven't accientally dragged one of your headers or footers down with the mouse, thus creating unwanted padding.

Reports suddenly dont fit

Thanks
Guys,

the poblem was indeed the print settings on the printer been set to letter instead of a4.
