An existing application no longer allows data entry in new record. Typing yields no affect.

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Perhaps the Form's Allow Additions property has be set to False  Check out the Forms' other Data properties as well.

Thanks for the reply John.

ps

You've really not given us much to go on in trying to help you. As John has suggested, Properties do get accidentally changed. Read/Write Properties of Folders, or for some users' access to Folders, are sometimes changed, often by IT/Network admins without end users being notified. Apps do get corrupted.
  1. Has anything changed, design-wise, recently?
  2. Is the Form based on a single Table, or multiple Tables, i.e. on a Query?
  3. If based on a Query, can New Records be added to the Query when opened independently?
  4. Is this in a multi-user environment?
  5. If #4 is true, is the app Split into a Front End/Back End configuration, as it must be, with each user having a copy of the Front End on their PC?
  6. Can Existing Records be Edited on the Form?
